So Cassidy has been day trained almost since she was 3. She's 3 1/2 and we are still in diapers at night. Ahhh! I can't stand it! I'm tired of buying diapers and Cameron was so easy to train. I figured she would be the same. Man, was I wrong?!? She can go hours and hours without peeing but as soon as you get that diaper on her at night, its flood central.
Anyone have any tips on night training so we can move out of the diaper stage???

Hey! New blogger...how fun! I don't have any great suggestions on night training for kids...since my oldest is 10 months old..but nannied and have friends w/older ones so I'll ask around for ya! My inclination is to let her pee the bed, maybe the discomfort of it would make her less likely to do that, but I've changes sheets in a midnight blur...and that's just not that fun for anyone involved! Good Luck! And thanks for visiting our blog..I'm hoping the gagging doesn't last 5 more weeks, but if it does, it does! I think it's a girl.
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by our blog!
I wanted to give you some encouragement. My Cameron (just turned 3) has been trained for almost a year now, and he is also still in diapers at night. He consistently wakes up wet. His older brother has not had an accident in over 2 years at night--he never had trouble with night training at all! So, I think it is certainly different with each child.
I think one day, just like the daytime, it will just click in their little bodies, and they will stop doing it!
I use cloth diapers--two of them, folded to fit inside of his underpants--and then rubber pants over that. It is kind of a mess in the morning (since he is usually wet) but we simply change his undies, talk about trying not to wet them at night, and move on. It saves me from having 2 sets of diapers to buy.
I hope that helps...stop by again anytime!
Well, if you find any magic tricks that work, I'd love to hear them. My oldest just turned 5, and is still in diapers at night. I think it's a bladder maturity thing, though I'm gonna ask my dr about it in a few weeks. It can also be genentic... sigh. The thing is, he wants to train, his poor body just isn't cooperating.
